Fall Centerpiece: Using my Ryobi Cordless Chainsaw

Fall Centerpiece Dining Room Table Decor

This past Spring around our community many trees were cut down that were in the way of power lines.  We can have hard ice storms in the winter so this is a necessity.  Lots of them were pine trees but I found a few hard woods near the kids school.

So I took my two strong guys and had them load those stumps into the truck.

These stumps have sat around the fire pit all summer drying out, mostly.  Then I had a bright idea.  My husband loves when I have bright ideas 🙂  I wanted to start some early Fall decorating and I need a big piece of wood.

I had my husband get out the Ryobi Chainsaw and cut me two pieces of wood off of one of the stumps.

The Ryobi chainsaw cuts so great.  We have used it to trim lots of small limbs around the yard this summer as we cleared out some wooded areas in our back yard.  As with ANY tool you should ALWAYS stay safe!

CORDLESS CHAINSAWS

  • Secure hair off shoulders
  • Do not wear jewelry or loose clothing
  • Wear long sleeves, long pants and sturdy shoes
  • Wear eye protection
  • Use two hands
  • Wear gloves
  • Usage: Limning/pruning branches, felling small trees, cutting fallen trees into small pieces

I brought the piece of wood in the house to start putting my fall centerpiece together.  It was super easy.  I layered a stem of greenery, some spanish moss and two pumpkins I had from last years decor.

I really do love how it turned out.  It looks really good on the dining room table.

Speaking of, did you see the dining room MAKEOVER?

This is the first fall decorating that I’ve done but I think it is setting the tone for the rest of the seasons decor.

  1. Those are beautiful! Where did you get those pumpkins? I know you said they were left from last year, but do you remember where you originally got them? I’m in love!

  2. What I love most is that it looks great and elegantly simple with all components just arranged, not adhered. This means that next year you can use same components in another configuration if you choose. For me….this makes decorating my small home more interesting each year.

  3. Your centerpiece is perfect for an early fall display. I love your decorative pumpkins!

I firmly believe that every household with a yard should have a chainsaw. We use ours more than I’d ever think we would need to do so.
