Monday Morning Musings

Monday Morning Musings:

I hope you all had a great weekend and especially a great Mother’s Day!  I think as woman, whether or not you are a mother yourself, you have loved and cared for someone like only a mother can!  I felt truly blessed by my kids and husband, they really spoil me.  Not with material gifts but by making me feel special.

Yesterday at church we had the honor of having Lysa TerKeurst speak…WOW!  If you don’t know, Lysa is the president of Proverbs 31 Ministries, mom to 5, and bestselling author.  I have always loved being encouraged by her but I had never heard her speak in person.  She said so many great things to encourage us as Mother’s BUT this resonated in my soul…

Mother's Day 2014 Quote

Seriously, how awesome is that?!! How many BAD moments do we have as Mother’s…A LOT, or at least I sure do!  Those moments do not make me or you a bad Mama! I loved this.  Lysa spoke so much more wisdom to my mama heart that I could never do it justice.  If you would like to hear it, my church always post services online on Tuesdays.  Just head over to NewSpring Church to watch.

So, I realize this is a bit off course from my usual DIY post but I felt led to share.

Speaking of DIY, I am a new contributor at The Shabby Creek Cottage blog.  Gina is super sweet, has the most awesome projects and I am honored she asked me to add to her blog.  I will be posting there once a month and today my first post will go live.  Please stop by Gina’s cottage to say hey!

I’d love to hear what special blessings Mother’s Day brought you, so please share!

I hope you have the most amazing day followed my a most amazing week!
