School’s out for Summer Party {pink flamingo inspired}

Flamingo Party Inspiration

Last year we decided to throw a

School’s out for Summer Party!

It was the end of 6th and 8th grade for our kiddos so it was middle school heaven, lol.

Now it’s time to prepare for our 2nd Annual School’s out for Summer Party.

I was SUPER excited to find the acrylic flamingo tray and glasses last weekend at Ikea!

Ikea has always fun party supplies…wish I lived closer to one.

Then I pulled out my black and white roll of gift wrap and some scrapbook paper

and my color palette was complete.ย  It was bold, fun and worked perfect for a party with both girls and boys.

This year I have an obsession with pink flamingos…Seriously how could you not?!

It all started 2 years ago…

my son brought home 2 plastic yard flamingos as his souvenirs from youth church camp in Florida.

He is fun like that!

Here they are at last years party…they were a BIG hit!

We actually put them out now for lots of parties!

Dylan's Flamingos

ย The kids, aka teens, played frisbee golf, badminton and volleyball…

They sang, danced and ate lots of sugar!

We ended the evening at the fire pit eating s’mores and playing truth or dare…parent supervised!

These were all daring kids…someone had to lick the grass ๐Ÿ™‚

ย If you love S’mores then a S’mores Dessert Bar is a great addition to any backyard party!

AND always a hit with everyone!

I’m already excited for this years party…my kids have great friends!

Do you have host parties for your kids?

You should, it’s fun! Honestly it’s easier to have a party for teens than it is for adults.

They really know how to entertain themselves and it’s super fun to watch!

Happy “almost” Summer
