Early Spring Outdoor Prep
Planning now sets you up to fully enjoy outdoor spaces once the weather warms up. Early Spring outdoor prep gets you ready to enjoy this fun part of setting up your spaces once all of the pollen is gone.
This post is sponsored by Lowe’s Home Improvement. I love that I can find all of our basic tools and gadgets plus pretty decor too. You can shop all featured items at Lowe’s, either online or buy online pickup in-store. I find it super convenient to place my order online for store pickup. Then it’s ready to go.

Shop all my favorites linked in my LTK storefront.
If there’s one thing we’re going to do here in the south, we are going to get Spring fever and we are going to get it early. One day it’s 79 degrees and the next day it’s freezing. But we don’t care because that one day of warm weather got us.

Once March hits the excitement of getting outside grows. we’re ready to power wash all of the surfaces, the outdoor rug and clean the string lights. Then pull the covers off the patio furniture and fill the planters with fresh ferns.
No, it is not the time because the pollen is about to cover literally ever nook and cranny.
So before April hits and we can officially enjoy our outdoor areas, I like to do some pre pollen prep. Handy tools help.

Early Spring Outdoor Prep
- Remove all of the dead plants and flowers from pots and planters. My favorite fern for sunny spots is Kimberly Queen.
- Weed the grass popping up in the pea gravel.
- Toss any worn or broken outdoor decor. I had to toss a pillow the chipmunks destroyed.
- Fix things that you use often. Our gate lock was getting stuck so I tightened up the loose screws.
- Make a list of anything you need to buy.

Everything we need came from Lowe’s. The two wheel wheelbarrow makes it much easier for pushing. If you still own a single wheel one, add the 2 wheel to your list. Our outdoor patio furniture is already in stock too so add that to your shopping list. This swivel chair set and the two piece conversation sofa and coffee table.
