Antique Style Benches for Any Budget
When decorating your home, using pieces that tell a story, offer great style and function are the best things to own. Finding a piece with history to it can get tricky. This post will show you where to find antique style benches for any budget. Pieces that you get to create a story around.

Our wood bench was Ray’s grandmother’s. It is an antique and was given to us after she passed. My mother in law always called it a deacon’s bench. I looked it up and its a bench style typically with arms and a back with slates or spindles.
I love the look of a bench sitting around a home. No matter your style, you can make a bench work. I’ve found that Wayfair is my go to when I’m looking for something specific. They offer lots of options and I was impressed with the selection of antique-style benches.
Where to add a bench in your home
Entryway Statement: Place a bench in your entryway to add both style and function — it’s perfect for setting the tone and storing shoes or baskets underneath. Our bench sits in sight of our entryway so it makes a nice visual statement.
Under a Window: An antique-style bench under a window creates a cozy reading nook or a decorative moment with layered pillows. We have moved our bench around over the years and it was once under the dining room window.

At the Foot of the Bed: Add one to the end of your bed for texture, extra seating, or a place to lay out tomorrow’s outfit. I love beautiful furniture that is functional.
Dining Table Alternative: Swap out dining chairs for a bench on one side of your table to instantly create a more casual, collected feel. Our bench gets pulled from it’s current home in the living room to add extra seating when we have guests for dinner.
Porch or Patio Charm: Weathered or wood-look benches add character to your outdoor spaces and offer a welcoming spot to sit. You can never go wrong with a piece as functional as a bench.
