You don’t need overly themed rooms to have a guest see your personality when the walk into your home. Little touches, in my opinion, are what makes a home interesting.
I’ve always had a thing for graphic accent pillows. The LOVE pillow is a perfect example. While the bold and graphic nature of the the pillow feel very designer, it also makes a room feel more casual. Cozy and casual is my number one characteristic trait.

A personal sketch of our son, created by a stranger in bar, is proudly displayed on a side table in our living room. It’s so special and adds loads of personality to the vignette. Use gold or silver frames and add personal drawings, postcards, or notes.

Baskets and decorative wood bowls are a fun place to loosely lay family photos and postcards. Sit them around your home for anyone to look through. Fill it with photos from all times and events of life. Great conversation piece too.
Mixing antiques with new decor and mixing patterns are both more great ways to add interest and personality to your home.
