Desserts for a Big Family

I come from a big family and so does my husband. We are both 1 of 5 siblings. So when we have any kind of gathering, especially during the holidays, there are lots of people and that is lots of eating!

This year for the family Christmas party on my side of the family I am in charge of desserts. Desserts for a big family have to be easy and appeal to the masses. One thing you should know about me and cooking, when Sandra Lee coined the semi homemade brand, she was speaking my language.

I do love to bake and try new recipes as well. I thought it would be great to share here with you some delicious looking recipes I found. I can’t wait to try some of these. My aunt makes the best homemade pecan pies so I always request she bring those to our family party! AND since this is a decorating blog, she has the most gorgeous Victorian home that you can see HERE all decked out for Christmas.

and for fun, an yummy Appetizer Tree.

My family parties start tonight and carry on all week. My daughter and I will be baking, of course right after my husband and I finish the mantel makeover. Yikes!

The wonderful Rachel of Maison de Pax invited me to be part of here Christmas Nights Tour and I will be sharing my home here on the blog on Wednesday. You will want to check out her blog, her home is gorgeous! The tour with all the bloggers starts on Monday and continues until Wednesday.

My Christmas Home Tour 2014 and Christmas Mantel are some of my favorite post.
