Christmas Nights Tour
Merry Christmas friends! If you are visiting from one of the other fabulous bloggers on the Christmas Nights Tour, then welcome. I am so happy you are here! I’m Sonya and this is my blog where I share about all things home decor.
When Rachel from Maison de Pax asked if I would like to be part of her Christmas Nights Tour I couldn’t say yes fast enough! Really, do you follow her blog? If not, you should!
Lights during the holidays are best seen at night!
Before I get into all of the photos there is one thing you should know, taking photo’s at night is hard. I mean getting the tripod and all of the manual settings just right is for professionals. So keep that in mind while looking through this post. I am not a professional, I just play one on this blog, lol.
If you are following me on Instagram (@athomewiththebarkers) you will know that we decided that the holidays would be the perfect time for a mantle makeover. I will have a full tutorial on the blog in the new year all about it but for now, here it is!
I am thrilled with how it turned out! My husband rocks! Last years Christmas mantel will give you a good idea of the difference!
This is the second year we have had a skinny tree and I do love the look and the space it saves but sometimes I wish it was a little bit fatter. I can’t complain though, it was an after Christmas deal!
Repainting the TV cabinet was a recent DIY as well. If you’d like to see how it looked before you can check out that post HERE.
That little denim jacket isn’t just a prop. It belongs to my niece. She left it here Thanksgiving. I hung it up until she comes back tonight for Christmas. I’m her favorite aunt by the way. 🙂
I made the Drop Cloth Christmas Stockings last year. I am usually one for tradition and keeping most of my special Christmas items the same but I’ve changed the stockings a few times over the years. I’ve kept them all because I figured one day the kids may want a set to take to their own home and they will still be special.
Handmade ornaments are always hung on our tree and red berries, I love red berries!
This year I added a tree to the foyer. I did a faux flock treatment on it with paint! YES, paint. You can see the tutorial HERE.
I am so thrilled to share my Christmas Nights Tour with you all.
I would love to share new blog post with you too. Just leave your email in the subscribe box and you will be good to go!
