Halloween decor and costumes at our house have always been more fun than scary. I am a big baby when it comes to gore. I don’t watch scary movies and I close my eyes and cover my ears when those type movie trailers come on TV.
So this Easy Halloween Wreath I created with a skeleton is the scariest thing you will ever see from me.
My kids are the same way and I’m sure they get it from me.
We have always lived in a neighborhood where trick or treating is super fun. Most of our time is spent outside so I have never went over the top to decorate indoors. My decor has always consisted of table settings and front entrance sprucing. Cobb webs spread out on to the brick and this easy halloween wreath are my go to projects.
Grapevine wreaths are very versatile for any season decor and very budget friendly. You can find them at Hobby Lobby and other craft stores as well.
I decided to paint this one gold. Mine will be hanging on a glass storm door so I had to be sure to get it painted on all sides. I did that by hanging it on a tree branch in my back yard.
Next I bought the black gauze type webbing that comes in a bag. It pulls easy so you can drape it however you wish. I used the gold wreath and the door to pull the gauze around. I didn’t have to use anything to hold it in place. The texture of the wreath is enough to keep it set.
The skeleton already had a string on the top of it for hanging so I did just that.
This easy halloween wreath is perfect for those who like budget friendly, last minute decorating like me. You may also like this DIY painted Halloween candy basket.
If you are on Instagram I would love to have you follow me there as well. It’s my favorite place to share throughout the day.
