Notes from Mom:
I can’t even believe I’m actually writing about back to school. We still have a few weeks left before my two high schoolers hit the books again but with senior pictures, band camp, cross country practice and class registration it feels like it’s already here.
As a mom I’m always looking for ways to encourage my children, to cheer them on and lift them up during difficult times. I usually take different approaches with each of my children but today I wanted to share with you a fun way for us to encourage our teen daughters this school year with Sadie Robertson’s new #liveoriginal line. This line is full of positive and inspirational messages that are perfect for the young adults in all our lives.
I think this would be a great idea for a grandmother to do for her grand daughters as well!
I shopped at Hobby Lobby and bought note cards and a Sticky Note Set. There are many things to choose from but I grabbed some items with wonderful Bible verses in them that I knew would be special to my girl. I will be able to use these anytime throughout the school year to encourage her.
I know how hard it is as a mother to find great role models for our girls because honestly, we should be that first example for them but they also need girls their own age to look up to as well. This is why I love the example Sadie Robertson sets for young girls everywhere.
It’s not easy to stay strong in your faith and values so I plan to do all I can to keep my daughter on the right path. As a Christian mom this means continuing to grow her in GOD’s word.
These sticky notes will work so well for this. I can hide notes in places for her to find through out her school day or after school before she runs.
I think it would be great to go ahead and begin this the week before school starts to build her up for the year ahead. We can do this moms!
I’ll say it…we usually need these same encouragements as grown women.
So, when you’re writing those cards out for your daughter be sure to let those bible verses soak in.
This looks like a beautiful tool for encouraging our teens. Thanks for sharing. I’ll be picking some of these up. Are there some that are not too girly to use for boys too?
