Simple Fall Decorating
Simple Fall Decorating is all I needed to be ready for the season. This week the temps were noticeably cooler, there’s football games and a few fall touches around the house. I’m not one to go all out for seasonal decor but I do like to change things up a bit. Everything you see except for the blue plaid pillows are things I already own.

The pillows were a recent purchase from HomeGoods. I love the colors. I think they are going to carry well straight through the holiday season. They have blue, black, white, red and gold. I will have good options for changing up my decor.
My son has had this horn for yes. I love to decorate with items that have sentimental value to me. Home should be the best representation of those who live there.

Painted plastic pumpkins are my favorite DIY from last year. I did add some yellow paint this year just to change them up a bit. SO easy. I used thrift store books but turned them around backwards so the natural color of the pages was what you could see. The pine cones, well they are from outside.
My mantel is such a statement I like to keep it simple. In case you’re interested in an inexpensive DIY that makes a huge impact, I highly suggest adding wood plank to the wall above the mantel like we did here. I have a tutorial on the blog HERE.
The stripe pillow on the bench was also from HomeGoods. They were all from the Ralph Lauren line.

I posted last week the tutorial for the natural fall wreath I made for the foyer.
You can see it HERE.

Also, the dining room centerpiece and the problems I had with it. (Allergies!)
Check out the dining room centerpiece HERE. AND if you follow me on Instagram you can see little peaks of how it looks now.

Sonya, I love your touches of fall. They are a gentle reminder of the season without being over the top and your house still looks “liveable”!
Love it all and your photos are awesome!
